Swiss Airlines to Resume Zurich–Tel Aviv Flights on July 1, Extends Dubai and Beirut Suspensions

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced it plans to resume flights between Zurich and Tel Aviv from 1 July 2026, the airline said in its latest newsbrief on 13 May 2026.

Meanwhile, the airline plans to extend suspensions to Dubai and Beirut due to the continued US-Iran tensions.

The airlines also said that it plans to increase capacity on Zurich–Delhi routes to meet strong demand.

The carrier said it will use June to complete operational preparations for the Zurich–Tel Aviv relaunch, including crew rostering, aircraft allocation and coordination with social partners to ensure a safe and reliable restart. Several Lufthansa Group airlines are already planning to resume Tel Aviv services in June, SWISS added.

Flights To Dubai Will Remain Suspended Till September

For operational reasons, SWISS is extending the suspension of flights to and from Dubai through 13 September 2026, and flights to Beirut will remain suspended until 24 October 2026. Affected passengers can rebook free of charge or request a full refund.

SWISS said it continues to monitor developments in the Middle East closely and remains in contact with Swiss authorities, local officials and Lufthansa Group partners as it adjusts network plans, aircraft deployment and schedules.

To redeploy aircraft capacity while Dubai services remain suspended, SWISS is expanding its Zurich–Delhi offering through 13 September 2026, operating a second daily Airbus A330 rotation in addition to the regular daily service. The extra daily flights are LX2646 and LX2647, regular services remain LX146 and LX147. The airline said the increase is in response to significantly higher demand for direct services to and from India amid disruptions through the Gulf.
