This page explains who owns Helvetica Times and how the publication is funded. We publish this information because readers have a right to know who stands behind the journalism they read.
Ownership
Helvetica Times is published by an independent Swiss media entity. The publication is editorially independent and operationally separated from any commercial partners. Final responsibility for content rests with the editor-in-chief.
The full legal name of the publishing entity, its registered office (Sitz), and the Swiss commercial register (Handelsregister) number will be published here once the entity is formally registered. This page will be updated accordingly.
Funding
Helvetica Times is funded through a combination of:
- Reader support — newsletter subscriptions and voluntary contributions from readers.
- Advertising — display advertising sold by our advertising team. Advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions; see our Editorial Policy.
- Content partnerships and licensing — syndication of selected articles to partner publications, where editorial independence is contractually preserved.
We do not accept funding from political parties, candidates for public office, or government bodies for editorial content.
Sponsored content
Any sponsored or paid content is clearly labelled as such and is produced separately from the newsroom. Editorial staff do not write sponsored content.
Transparency commitments
We commit to:
- Updating this page within 30 days of any material change to ownership or funding structure.
- Disclosing in-article any partnership, grant, or sponsorship that funded a specific reporting project.
- Naming the editor-in-chief and senior editorial staff on our About page.
