Unknown perpetrators broke into a boutique in Zurich city centre in the early hours of Friday morning, 17 July 2026, smashing a shop window and making off with an as-yet-unspecified haul. The Zurich City Police said that “upon arrival, police found a smashed shop window at a boutique.”
The incident occurred at around 4.30am on Friday at a boutique on Schlüsselgasse, in the heart of Zurich’s old town, not far from Paradeplatz and Bahnhofstrasse.
According to the first police report:

Three unknown individuals, speaking French, were seen at the scene.

They struck a show window and gained access to the shop.

All three wore dark clothing and hygiene masks.

After the break-in, they fled in a white car with a black roof and foreign licence plates.
At this stage, police have not disclosed what exactly was stolen or the value of the goods taken.
Zurich City Police have launched an investigation and are calling on witnesses who observed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Schlüsselgasse around the time of the break-in to come forward.
