Switzerland continues to be a premier destination for skiing, with many resorts offering good to excellent conditions for this coming weekend. Whether you are looking for groomed pistes or fresh powder, the Swiss Alps have something to offer. As we head into another weekend, ski enthusiasts are looking at the Swiss Alps for their snow conditions and ski resort updates. Here’s the latest information on the snow forecast.
Recent snow reports indicate that Switzerland has received varied snowfall across different regions. Some of the most consistent good piste conditions have been reported as Saas Fee, Davos, Zermatt, Klosters, Andermatt, Verbier, and Engelberg.
Known for being one of the highest ski areas in Switzerland, Zermatt is reporting “powder/hard” conditions with a base depth of 41 inches at lower elevations and 117 inches at higher elevations.
While Saas Fee has an upper base depth of 117 inches and a lower base depth of 24 inches, Verbier is also a top choice for skiers this weekend.
For off-piste powder, resorts such as Zinal, Grimentz, and Les Diablerets have been highlighted.
The weather forecast suggests that fresh snow is expected at five resorts, with powder reported at one resort. A total of seventeen resorts are reporting good piste conditions. The snow forecast for the next two days includes at least 50 ski resorts, including Grindelwald, Gstaad, Nendaz, Verbier, and Wengen. Lötschental reports the deepest snow with 142 inches on upper slopes.
Skiers and snowboarders close to Zurich, Basel, Bern, and Geneva have a variety of options for hitting the slopes, with many areas reporting good to excellent snow conditions.

Flumserberg: Reporting good snow conditions with most lifts open. The upper slopes have a snow depth of 110 inches.
Hoch-Ybrig: This resort is within easy reach of Zurich and offers good skiing conditions.
Atzmännig: Located in the Zurich region, it provides a family-friendly skiing experience. Current conditions are favorable with a good base of snow.
Ski Resorts with Good Snow Closer to Basel
Feldberg: Just over an hour’s drive from Basel, Feldberg is reporting good snow conditions with a majority of its lifts in operation.
Laax: Known for its extensive terrain, Laax has a snow depth of 143 inches on the upper slopes, ensuring excellent conditions for skiing.
Ski Resorts with Good Snow Closer to Bern
Adelboden-Lenk: This resort has a snow depth of 44 inches on the upper slopes and is reporting good piste conditions.
Grindelwald-Wengen: Part of the Jungfrau region, it offers a snow depth of 61 inches on the upper slopes with most lifts running.
Gstaad: With a base depth of 71 inches on the upper slopes, Gstaad is in good shape for weekend skiing.

Portes du Soleil: This large ski area near Geneva has a snow depth of 56 inches on the upper slopes and is fully operational.
